Conference: Embodied Knowledge & Bodies of Knowledge

On behalf of HAPSAT, the Graduate Student Society of the Institute for the
History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto, I
would like to invite you to our annual one-day graduate conference titled,
“Embodied Knowledge and Bodies of Knowledge.” The conference will take place on
Friday August 15th, 2008 and features a keynote presentation by Dr. Paul
Thagard, Professor of Philosphy from the University of Waterloo, titled “Bodies,
Brains, Feelings, and Causes: How Embodiment Meets Representation in Neural
Theories of Emotion and Causality.”
